Benching
Our “free-standing” benching is designed in house. We have used this design for over 6 years and many schools have installed our units in both ICT suites and in classrooms. The product is versatile and can be altered to accommodate disabled pupils, printer stations and staff members who wish to use a chair in place of the integral seating. The product has been designed to accommodate both nursery school children and tall adults. It’s unique feature is its in–built seating. Made from durable, non-splintering MDF, the seats are rounded for more comfort.

There is an added bonus in that the design incorporates a “cable tidy” at the rear which houses unsightly cables. Worktops of benching that have cables laid over them tend not to be dusted by cleaners and therefore collect dust, bits of paper and other objects making the benching look unpleasant. There can also be a problem with cables that drape down the rear of benching where pupils feet can be caught in them, this is not a good health and safety situation in our opinion. We have the cable tidy in which cables are run to help alleviate the aforementioned problems. |
